When it comes to knowledge & information we usually prefer the internet instead of books. This may be one of the prime reasons why most readers don’t want to visit libraries nowadays.
After a long time, I visited a library in my city #Aurangabad which is said to be the biggest #Urdu library in #Marathwada named AMC Akhtar-uz-Zama Nasar Urdu Library located at Nizamuddin Dargah Road, near Shahgunj.

I found a book I’d seen almost a decade ago but never got a chance to go through the contents of the book, but i remember the cover of this book which is a handmade illustration of faces drawn by a hand across the tomb of Bibi Ka Maqbara.

Book: ‘Mera Shaher, Mere Log’
Author: Ahmed Iqbal Sahab
About the book: The book was popular for its exceptional work at the time of publishing in the year 1998 in the Urdu language. It’s about the few selected personalities of the city who did extraordinary work in their respective fields. Also, you will find some old photographs of the city as well. I think it’s a must-read if you love Urdu literature and or belong to Aurangabad.
I think it’s rightly said, ‘The only thing that you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library’
